Pm1 Overview
Carnival in the Caribbean is known for its lively music and joyful street celebrations. In 2012, a special soca project brought new energy to the festival scene. The Pm1 Riddim, produced by BLU MOON PRODUCTIONS, became a favorite among DJs and partygoers. Its smooth, warm rhythm and upbeat pace made it perfect for dancing and celebration. This project featured a strong lineup of artists. General Grant, well-known for his hit "Winin With A Vengeance," added his signature style. Grant is respected in the soca world, with a career that includes the popular track “Shot Calla.” Jadel joined the lineup with "Never See Come See," showing her talent as a rising soca singer. Devon Matthews contributed "Hands On The Ground." Matthews was a respected Trinidadian artist who later won the 2017 Road March title with "Full Extreme" as part of Ultimate Rejects. Lil Bitts brought her energy with the song "Juk." She is known for her success in the Junior Soca Monarch competition and for her powerful voice. Benjai’s "Tremble It" was another highlight. Benjai is no stranger to big carnival hits, with songs like "Wine to the Side" and "Trini." His music often gets crowds moving. BLU MOON PRODUCTIONS, the team behind the project, is recognized for their work in Caribbean music and has produced several soca hits over the years. The Pm1 Riddim remains popular and is still played during Carnival flashbacks, showing its lasting impact on festival music.
