Pulsing, dubby and a little old-school in the right way, Pinge Ling Riddim sits in that sweet spot where digital roots meets straight-ahead dancehall pulse. Bucky Jo’s “Solid Ground” sets the tone with a firm, earthy cut, while Norris Man and Queeny D’Empress bring some nice tension to “Leaving Me, ” and Selvie Wonder’s “Leaders Of The World” gives the set a more conscious lift. Released in late 2015 and tied to Trevor Elliott’s Musical Ambassador/Buzwakk line, the project feels like a compact snapshot of what the camp was doing around that period: lean arrangements, veteran voices, and a rhythm built for replay rather than flash. It’s a short run, only five cuts, but it slots neatly beside Buzwakk’s other mid-2010s roots and reggae work.
