Partyholic Riddim – One Way Records

Already back in 2013, One Way Records had Partyholic Riddim lined up as a tight six-song dancehall set, with Ding Dong’s “You Mi Luv” doing the heavy lifting up front and G Whizz, Stacious, Kari Jess, Caldhino, and D’vercity filling out the rest. The whole thing came out in Jamaica in mid-July 2013, and the early singles suggest a party-minded cut with a pop-leaning edge rather than a grimy street groove. Ding Dong’s track feels like the natural anchor, while Stacious’ “Falling In Love” pushes the more flirtatious side of the riddim. One Way Records were also treating this as their first riddim compilation, which fits the clean, newcomer energy around it. The production stays brisk and uncluttered, with a light bounce in the drums and a bass line that keeps everything moving at a quick, waistline-ready pace.
