Noku Music Group’s Ominpresence Riddim leans into Zimbabwean roots reggae with a warm, steady pulse and a devotional edge, the kind of one-riddim set that stays measured rather than rushing for impact. Zj Pythaan, Trish, and Saint Taku help set the tone early, while deeper cuts from Raider Boss, Tapency, and Minister Mathew keep the spiritual focus front and center; “There’s Joy and Tranquility” and “You Are Lord” sit comfortably alongside the more pleading turns of “Kana Taomerwa” and “Kufamba Na Jesu. ” Released in 2019 and spread across 16 tracks, the project shows how Zimbabwe’s reggae scene was using the classic riddim format to carry praise music with local flavor and plainspoken conviction.
