Noku Music Group kept its 2021 run moving with Good News Riddim, a Zimbabwe-rooted reggae set that leans into melody, uplift and that easy mid-tempo pulse the crew has used well on a few other projects. Alkadon’s “Nherera” opens with a reflective edge, while Cherry B’s “Mwenje” and Collie Vybz’s “Sei Muchirega” bring some of the sharper hooks on the riddim; Sir Preacher’s “Slow Process” also hangs around nicely with its patient, prayerful tone. The whole thing runs long, with 25 songs and a little over an hour and a half of music, so it feels more like a full producer statement than a quick one-riddim drop. Released in February 2021, it landed right in the middle of a busy stretch for Noku Music Group.
