Boardhouse Records came in with one of its earliest shots here, and you can hear a label still finding its signature while leaning hard into the dance floor. “Look Gal” runs on a sharp, mid-tempo bashment pattern with a heavy bassline and edgy synth lead, the kind of cut built for big speaker systems and even bigger forward moments. Ali’s “Hype All You Want” brings the attitude, Assassin keeps the pressure on with “Nah Nuh Gyal, ” and the Busy Signal-assisted “Line Fi Line” gives the set its flashiest pull. Sotto Bless adds a cooler, more dismissive tone on “Lie, ” which helps keep the riddim from locking into one mood. It was also known in some corners as “Nuh Linga, ” and that alternate name fits the energy: the closing instrumental version leaves the hooky, stripped-down groove hanging in the air.
