Old School Riddim (2008) – Total Satisfaction

There’s a warm, unhurried roots feel running through Old School Riddim, the kind of late-2000s reggae cut that leans on melody and uplift rather than muscle. Total Satisfaction keeps the arrangement spare enough for the singers to do the talking, and Luciano’s “Live Love And Learn” is the song that really locks in that message, all calm conviction and easy authority. Lukie D’s “Some Day” sits close beside it with the same reflective tone, while Jah Hammed’s “Even Though” adds a slightly rougher edge to the set. It’s a short run, just three vocal cuts and the version, but that’s part of the charm; nothing feels padded.
