NO MORE WILL I ROAM RIDDIM produced by KICKIN PRODUCTIONS 2001
No More Will I Roam Overview
In 2001, dancehall was full of hard-hitting riddims, and the No More Will I Roam Riddim fit right in. DJs across Jamaica and beyond kept this one on repeat, as it brought fresh energy to yard sessions and dance floors. The riddim came from KICKIN PRODUCTIONS, a studio known for its clean, powerful sound and focus on the singjay style. KICKIN PRODUCTIONS had already built a name in the late 1990s and early 2000s as a reliable label for dancehall hits, with a reputation for tight production that worked well for both singers and deejays. The artists on this riddim brought their own flavor. Anthony B delivered “Tax,” adding his signature conscious lyrics. Anthony B is well known for his 1996 album “Real Revolutionary” and has toured worldwide, spreading reggae’s message. Capleton, a key figure in dancehall and reggae, gave fans “More Dem Try.” Capleton’s album “More Fire” reached the Billboard Reggae Albums chart in 2000, cementing his place as a top artist. George Nooks contributed “This Love.” Nooks is famous for his smooth voice and his hit “God Is Standing By,” which is a reggae classic. Malvo joined with “Red Rose T Linen - Love Is Coming At You,” and Tony Curtis sang “Its Been A Long Time.” The version, “No More Will I Roam,” closed out the set, letting the riddim shine on its own. This release captured the spirit of 2001 dancehall, uniting top voices with a driving beat.
