Nirvana Riddim (2019) – Uim Records

Nirvana Riddim comes in with that mid-2019 dancehall energy UIM Records was pushing at the time, and the best thing about it is how lean the lineup is around the groove. Anju Blaxx and Kadeem are credited on the production side, and the project landed on September 13, 2019 with nine cuts in all, including the instrumental. Urbann’s “Blessed Day, ” Blak Diamon’s “Paradise, ” and Wasp’s “Fren Dem” do a lot of the lifting, while “Goosebumps” and “Money Manners” keep the vocal range varied without breaking the riddim’s shape. The sequencing feels intentional, moving through eight songs before closing with the bare instrumental, so you hear the riddim get its own space after the voices have done their work.
