8PM Records kept the Next Gen Riddim tight and contemporary here, rolling out eight short dancehall cuts in late September 2021 with a cast that leans more sharp-edged than star-heavy. Jojo’s “Netflix and Chill” and Vahd Warfare’s “Crack Di Code” catch the ear first: the former plays on that slick, cheeky modern-dancehall vibe, while the latter has a more direct, coded-up badness in the title and delivery. Rhuga’s “Nuh Fear” and Papilaw’s “Badgyal” push the riddim into rougher street mode, and Rvssmatic linking with 1vipa on “World” adds a little extra weight at the close.
