Jaz9nine Music’s Clarinet Riddim lands as a compact 2021 dancehall set in the middle of the label’s early catalogue, and it gets its shape from a tidy eight-song roster rather than a sprawling cast. Vershon’s “Dutty Tuff” feels like the anchor here, with Sizzla’s “Pretty Herbs” and D’Angel’s “Won’t Leave” giving the riddim a mix of veteran presence and straight-to-the-point vocal cuts, while the production keeps things lean and propulsive underneath them.
