Pain Riddim – T100 / Gamblaz Productions

Out of Jamaica’s 2021 dancehall crop, Pain Riddim comes in lean and tense, a four-track set from T100 and Gamblaz Productions that keeps the focus tight rather than packing the lane. The riddim sits in that slow-rolling, bruised pocket where the vocals can really bite, and the lineup leans into that mood with Savage Savo’s “Tears, ” Krazy Flamez on “Thugs Mansion, ” and Darmain Stiile’s “Cry” all circling the same emotional weight. Chronic Law and YRN’s “Boxing” is the one that snaps the hardest, with Law’s voice doing what it does best over a stripped-down backdrop that leaves plenty of room for the hooks to land. It’s a short release, but the pacing and the darker phrasing give it a sharp, deliberate edge.
