New Normal Riddim – Suffarah E.N.T

Suffarah E. N. T’s New Normal Riddim lands a little leaner than some of the bigger, busier dancehall packages of the period, keeping the focus on four cuts from Fatz, Linky First, DJ Cheem and ZJ Cutta. The production is stripped back and functional, with a tight drum pattern, sharp little synth stabs and a low-end that stays close to the floor instead of crowding the vocals. Fatz’s “Get Mad” sounds like the toughest pull from the set, while Linky First and DJ Cheem ride the rhythm with that clipped, chant-heavy phrasing that suits this kind of project. It’s a short riddim, but that brevity suits the setup: no wasted space, just four voices moving over a compact, mid-tempo groove and a bassline that keeps the whole thing moving in a straight line.
