New Era 2 leans hard into the late-2014 Zimdancehall moment, with a packed Mbada Music set that runs to 44 cuts and gives the riddim plenty of room to move. The sound is sharp and percussive, with that clipped, streetwise pulse that leaves space for chants, punchlines, and patois-heavy hooks; Big Fire(Mbada)’s “Mama, ” Soul Jah Love’s “Chachedu, ” and Ninja Kid’s “Freestyle” sit near the front of the pack. It’s more compilation than tidy one-riddim exercise, and the sequencing keeps the energy bouncing from solo turns to a few joint features, including General Waspy with Soul Jah Love and the Fire L, Flinky B, and Ryder Markas combination. Mbada Music Zimbabwe issued it in 2014.
