Neck Brace Overview

The Neck Brace Riddim was created in 2018 inside the Mashworks Family Studio. The team wanted a sound that would capture the energy of Carnival. The carnival director gave clear ideas for the music: it had to be fast, lively, and perfect for dancing in the streets. With this direction, the producers mixed classic soca beats with the new styles popular in 2018. Mashworks Family Studio Productions led the project. The studio is known for producing Carnival hits and has worked with many soca artists over the years. Their focus on parade music helped shape the Neck Brace Riddim into a favorite for Carnival bands. Several artists stood out on this riddim. D'Regulars performed “Hole Deep,” a crowd-pleaser that became popular at Carnival events. Mashworks Family Studio Productions also released their own version called “Neck Brace Riddim,” showing off their production skills. Tonio D Don added his voice with “For The Jab,” a song that fits perfectly with the high-energy vibe of the riddim. Vision performed “Bad So,” bringing a different style that added variety to the project. The Neck Brace Riddim quickly became a Carnival favorite in 2018. Its mix of catchy beats and strong performances from D'Regulars, Mashworks Family Studio Productions, Tonio D Don, and Vision made it stand out during the season.
