Natural Beauty Riddim – Strateg Music Group

By late 2021, Strateg Music Group was back in dancehall mode with Natural Beauty Riddim, a six-track set that keeps the energy tight and street-level rather than sprawling. Bayday’s “Judgement Cliff” and FrassBoss P. Rich’s “Tek Dem Girl” set the tone with hard-edged riding over a compact groove, while Fyah Pan’s “Party” and Pheenyx’s “Damage” lean more toward the dance. Quaa General’s “Slow Wine” eases into a more suggestive pocket, but the sharpest closing shot comes from Strait E’s “Fuck Off, ” which leaves the riddim on a blunt, no-nonsense note.
