Music Is Life Riddim – One Camp

Midway through the One Camp run, the Music Is Life Riddim EP leans on a warm, rootsy pulse and a small but well-judged lineup, with Sycorah’s “Tell Me How You Feel” bringing a tender, acoustic feel and Ras Charmer’s title cut turning the whole thing into a straightforward statement about music as healing. Elijah Salomon produced the project for his Zurich-based One Camp Records, and there’s a nice bit of continuity here too, since the riddim revives an older Elia “Elijah” Salomon idea that had already been living in his catalogue for more than a decade. Raggabund’s “Jah Lebt” adds a German-language edge, while The Dubby Conquerors handle the instrumental, giving the release its final stretch of live-band weight. Released on December 17, 2021, it arrives as a five-track EP.
