A cool, mid-tempo dancehall cut with a bright, early-day pulse running through it, Morning Light Riddim leans into hooks and message tunes rather than straight bashment pressure. Mega Man Productions lines up seven versions here, and the sequencing keeps things moving from Addi Future ft. We-Mu’s “Who Jah Bless” through Ancient Kush’s “Wonder Why, ” the Snapshot Camp trio on “Money Alert, ” and Tesh’s “Dem Fight Me, ” before closing with the title version. We-Mu returns again on “True Happiness, ” which gives the set a little extra lift near the end, and the instrumental version lands as the final track. Issued in 2012, the riddim collects 10 unique artists across the seven cuts.
