A little over a half-hour long and cut at a brisk 152 BPM on its lead single, Mix Up Tingz Riddim sits in that fast, springy dancehall pocket where the vocalists have to ride the beat cleanly or get left behind. Stainless Music lines up a useful cross-section here: Sizzla’s “No Violence” and Lutan Fyah’s “Love Selassie” give the set its conscious pull, while Serani’s “Lonely” and Harry Toddler’s “You Get Any Man” lean the other way and keep the vibe street-level. Fantan Mojah’s “Press Gas (Cyah Violate)” and New Kidz’s “Certain Joke” were both part of the original August 28, 2015 release, and the riddim’s pull comes from that tight, clipped drum pattern and the hard bass pulse underneath, leaving just enough space for each artist to jab in and out.
