Mcafee Riddim came out in 2014 from the Bze Champions, Heights Of Vibes and D. M. D. camp, a Belize-linked production team with roots in the kind of grassroots dancehall work that has long moved between studio craft and sound-system pressure. Heights Of Vibes has been tied to Belize City’s local music movement for years, while Bze Champions carries that same homegrown, proudly regional energy. The result is a juggling that sounds lean and direct, with a hard-stepping midtempo bounce, bright synth stabs and enough space for each artist to cut through clean.

The strongest names on the set are the ones that give the rhythm its personality. Mega Banton and Power Man bring veteran force on “Me Love It, ” with both the radio and raw versions underscoring how easily the riddim handles a street-wise chant.
