Marcia Mary Riddim – Music Time Records

Out of Jamaica’s 2001 dancehall run, Marcia Mary Riddim arrives as a tight little three-track slice from Music Time Records, with Diplomat’s “Teaser” and Hawkeye’s “Badman” carrying the vocal side before the “Version” cut closes things out. Hawkeye was already deep into a busy year, and this session catches him on a straight-up badman style over a spare, direct riddim that leaves plenty of room for the deejay talk. The track sequence is simple: two vocals, then the instrumental version, with no extra padding in between. Produced by Music Time Records, the set is credited to 2001.
