Love Child Riddim lands in that mid-2010s dancehall pocket where the beat does its talking without too much fuss, and AJT Music Productions keeps it tight across six cuts with Anthony B, Pretti Kitti, Mystic Soul, Shamayne and Kris Kemizt stepping through the same groove. Anthony B’s “Pree Life” gives the set its most immediate pull, while Pretti Kitti’s “Exchange Is No Robbery” appears twice, once straight and once in a raw version, which tells you the riddim was being pushed with a little extra room for selectors and DJs. The production stays lean and percussive, built for the dance rather than the slow burn, and the release runs exactly six tracks with five different voices on it.
