Mama Africa Overview

In 2010, a new reggae rhythm project began to take shape, drawing on the deep roots of the genre. The foundation was built with care, focusing on a classic reggae sound while adding fresh energy. Bizzarri Records, an Italian label known for promoting reggae across Europe and beyond, took charge of the production. Since its founding in Modena, Bizzarri Records has supported both established and rising artists, helping to spread reggae’s message worldwide. As the project developed, a group of talented artists joined the journey. Ras Tewelde and Jamafrica opened the collection with “Mama Africa,” a tribute to heritage and unity. Lion D brought his unique style to “Too Physical,” blending conscious lyrics with a lively beat. Brusco and I-Octane teamed up for “Nuh Care,” delivering a bold and confident anthem. Million Stylez contributed “Jah Is Worthy,” a song full of spiritual praise and hope. Ms Trinity’s “Gone” added a heartfelt touch, exploring themes of loss and resilience. Other highlights include Khari Kill and Lion D’s powerful “Strenght,” Mulinu and Fido Guido’s “Quello Che Non Puoi,” and Mama Marias’ storytelling in “Story.” Anansi offered “Love Is Clear,” while Julia closed the set with “Reasons.” Each track kept the rhythm alive, showing the versatility of the riddim. From its careful creation to its vibrant release, this reggae rhythm project has remained a solid foundation in reggae history. The collaboration between Bizzarri Records and these artists continues to inspire fans and musicians alike.
