LOVE & JOY RIDDIM produced by DA WIZ 2018
Love And Joy Overview
The Love And Joy Riddim brought together some of dancehall’s most exciting voices in 2018. Vybz Kartel, already known for major hits like “Fever,” delivered the powerful track “Ghetto Cry.” Gyptian, the artist behind the international hit “Hold Yuh,” added his smooth style to “Your Touch.” Teflon, respected for his conscious lyrics, contributed “Struggles In Life.” Little Lero’s “Mama” and Desinty Sparta’s “Ghetto Love” added even more variety and emotion to the project. The riddim was shaped by producer DA WIZ. Known for his work with the Wiz Records label, DA WIZ has built a reputation for creating energetic tracks that are loved by both DJs and fans. His productions often get strong support in the dancehall community, and the Love And Joy Riddim was no exception. The riddim’s electric sound and heavy bass made it an instant favorite in clubs and dancehalls across Jamaica. Other artists also joined the project, including Keniesha with “Ghetto Love,” Okonko with “Far From Jah,” Z with “Can’t Get You Off My Mind,” and Susan Perkins with “Freedom.” Each song added its own flavor, but the riddim’s strong beat kept everything connected. Soon after its release, the Love And Joy Riddim became a true yard anthem. Its sound captured the spirit of 2018 dancehall and helped shape the music of that year. For many fans, it remains a classic example of how a great riddim and talented artists can come together to create something unforgettable.
