LADIES MAN RIDDIM produced by JWL PRODUCTIONS 2001
Ladies Man Overview
JWL PRODUCTIONS is the label behind the party backdrop that echoed through clubs across the island in 2001. Known for their sharp ear in dancehall and soca, JWL PRODUCTIONS has worked with a range of Caribbean artists and helped shape the sound of the early 2000s. Their releases often found their way into DJ sets, especially when bashment was in full swing. On this standout riddim, a select group of artists brought their own flavor. Denise Belfon, a Trinidadian singer famous for her energetic performances, delivered “Move Forward.” Belfon is best known for her soca hit “Work,” but here she shows off her dancehall side. Kmc, who gained international attention with the song “Soul On Fire” in 2005, appears with “Taking It Higher,” adding his signature bounce to the track. Nadia Batson, a respected songwriter and singer, shines with “Nubian Queen.” Batson is also known for writing the soca anthem “Go Dung” for Machel Montano. Precious brings smooth vocals on “Oh La La La,” while Queen Omega, recognized for her roots reggae and conscious lyrics, delivers “Fire.” Queen Omega’s debut album in 2001 helped establish her as a powerful voice in Caribbean music. All these tracks are built on the same riddim foundation, carefully crafted by JWL PRODUCTIONS. Their touch made this dancehall recording stand tall among the heavy bashment drops of 2001, giving fans a timeless dancefloor experience.
