Kuffkaff Riddim – Xyle Records

Kuffkaff Riddim lands as a tough 2011 reggae juggling from Xyle Records, with a lean, no-nonsense groove that leaves room for the deejays to push the attitude. Xyle had already started getting a little heat around the release, and you can hear why: the cut feels made for sound systems, with sharp hooks from names like Deva Bratt, Pamputtae, Shawn Storm, and Tanto Blacks. Shawn Storm’s “Beg Yuh Likkle” getting both radio and raw mixes is a nice touch, because it lets the tune breathe in two different forms without breaking the flow.
