Out of Antigua’s Black Roots Records, the 2013 Krush Riddim comes in as a compact 10-track dancehall set with a party-minded, street-level feel rather than any big concept framing. The selection keeps the focus on vocal cuts: Flash Raggedy’s “Party, ” Iq’s “Who Da Gal Deh” in both raw and radio versions, Teejah and Big Chai’s “We Hot, ” and Chantman’s “Love The Haters” give the riddim its clearest hooks, while Carlos Turner, Jdiamondz, Eleone, Overall, and Zabloxz fill out the sequence without clutter.
