KNOCK OUT RIDDIM produced by SUPERSONIC SOUND 2010
Knock Out Overview
The Knock Out Riddim mix brought together a strong lineup of dancehall tracks that made a big impact in 2010’s bashment scene. The collection features Brusco with “Born Bad,” Bunji Garlin’s “Badming,” and D Flame’s “Who Is Our Saviour.” Each song stands out with its own style, but all ride on the same solid dancehall rhythm. Other highlights include Degree’s “Gallis,” Diplomat’s “Dem Woulda Waan,” Fuze’s “She Need Me Bad,” Gioman’s “Non Ni Casciando,” Jungle’s “Bottom To The Top,” Kooda’s “Kaya Warriors,” and Maddawg’s “Take Advice.” Bunji Garlin, well known for his energetic delivery, is a respected soca and dancehall artist from Trinidad and Tobago. He is famous for hits like “Differentology,” which won the 2013 Soul Train Award for Best International Performance. Degree, another standout on the mix, is a Jamaican deejay recognized for his catchy dancehall tracks, including the well-known “Traffic Blocking.” The riddim was arranged and produced by SUPERSONIC SOUND, a German sound system and production team known for their influence in the European reggae and dancehall scene. Since the late 1990s, SUPERSONIC SOUND has released several popular riddims and played at major events across Europe. Knock Out Riddim’s crisp beats and lively horn melodies made it a favorite at street dances. Its replay value and strong performances helped it become a reliable selection in bashment sets during 2010.
