King David Riddim – Hi Power Music

King David Riddim came out in 1997 on Hi Power Music and keeps it tight with just four cuts. Dennis Brown leads with Are You Ready, joined by Frankie Paul on Righteousness and Lukie D on Heaven Sent, with a clean version pull rounding out the set. The riddim is also credited to High Power under Gary Douglas, and it sits in that strong late-90s reggae lane with heavyweight voices carrying the whole thing. Dennis Brown and Frankie Paul give it most of the shine, and the short tracklist makes the instrumentally driven version feel even more central.
