1970 reggae, originally cut through Supreme, finds the Door Peep riddim stretching from Burning Spear’s Door Peep Shall Not Enter and Prince Jazzbo’s Imperial I to later voicings from Augustus Pablo, Yami Bolo Ruffy Tuffy, and X-High. The set ties together roots history and dub culture in one line, with Augustus Pablo’s Minstrel and Minstrel Dub adding a heavier instrumental feel alongside the vocal cuts. Burning Spear’s original Door Peep recording remains the anchor here, and the riddim’s later run shows how widely that Studio One-era pattern travelled.
