Kikit Riddim – Temple Swing

Kikit Riddim lands in that sharp, mid-2010s dancehall pocket Temple Swing was carving out around 2019, with a tight nine-track set that keeps the energy brisk and the arrangements lean. Flame Gad’s “Top Gyalis” and Frasswel’s “My Wife” set the tone early, while Genista’s “Worthy” gets the clean/raw treatment, a small touch that gives the project a little extra replay value without overcomplicating it. Hunta’s “Destiny, ” Kwenshade’s “Like Dat, ” and Sashko D’Ace’s “Temple Team” keep the voices moving over the same rhythm, and the whole thing closes with Tallup’s “Gripp” in both raw and clean versions, which feels like the riddim’s final, most direct statement.
