King Yellowman gives the Judah Riddim an immediate anchor on “Color Dem A Judah, ” and LB27 wrap the tune in a rootsy, live-band style that sits closer to conscious reggae compilation than a flashier modern dancehall set. The project spreads that same mood across a mixed lineup that includes Gregory G. Ras, Junior Tshaka, Copy Con, Jr. Brown and Céanne, with “Praise Jah Everyday” and “Rootless Tree” pushing the meditation side of the riddim while “Life Isn’t Easy” and “Gangster Community” keep it grounded in everyday struggle. The set also includes an instrumental cut at the end, which lets the riddim breathe on its own after the vocal versions. Judah Riddim was produced by LB27 Production in 2015 and runs 15 tracks deep.
