Imitator Riddim came out in 1986 on Prince Jazzbo’s Ujama label, with just two voicings carried by Early B and Horace Ferguson. The set is built around Early B’s Imitator and Horace Ferguson’s Jah Order, and it sits on a version of the Mad Mad rhythm that Jazzbo worked under Ujama during the late 1980s. Ujama was founded by Prince Jazzbo in Jamaica in 1977, and this release is a compact example of his own production work in that era.
