Greensleeves Records’ Hot Gal Crew Riddim landed in 1999 as a dancehall-ready various artists set with a short, punchy lineup that includes Chico’s One Man Alone, Future Troubles’ Bad Moda Fucker, Red Rat and Big Red on Red Attack and Whole World Just Dead, plus Tok’s Hot Gal Crew. The project leans on the era’s raw, club-focused energy, with Red Rat and Big Red adding extra bite across two cuts and Tok giving the riddim its name tune. Released in the same period when Greensleeves was building a strong run of rhythm compilations, it captures late-90s Jamaican dancehall in a direct, no-frills style.
