Produced by Mr. Roots for Wiz Records in 2014, Horn Child Riddim pulls together a compact soca set with Ajamu on Bam Bam Attack, Pupa Leendi on Any Fete, Sheldon Douglas on Horn Child, Shortpree on For The Sake, and Terra Kid on Live Life. The release also carries Mr. Roots’ own instrumental cut, which helps frame the riddim’s bright horn-led arrangement and party-ready pulse. Wiz Records, formerly known as Roots Productions, was already building a strong soca catalogue around this period, and this one fits neatly into that mid-2010s Trinidadian sound with its sharp carnival energy and straightforward dancefloor focus.
