Passport Riddim – Precision Productions

Precision Productions leaned into a pan-Caribbean soca frame on Passport Riddim, a 2014 seven-track set that pairs artists from Antigua, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Jamaica, Barbados, Grenada and Trinidad. The cut that ties it all together is a clean, travelogue-style groove: bright melodic hooks, a steady four-on-the-floor bounce and a bass line that stays firm without crowding the vocals. Jamesy P’s “See Me Dey” and Lil Rick’s “Thank God For Life” are two of the sharper turns, while Jenna’s “Don’t Stop Wining” and Tommy Sanchez’s “Do You Remember” keep the energy in that Carnival pocket. The whole project runs just over 25 minutes, and the arrangements stay lean enough for the singers to ride the riddim with quick phrasing and direct, party-ready choruses.
