Gold Label Riddim – Superlynks / Zifi Records

A short four-song set, Gold Label Riddim comes in tight and direct, with Brutal Crankstar’s “Party Today, ” Leadpipe’s “Horna Man, ” Saddis’ “Wifey Material, ” and the Gatlin/Zac cut “Rum” all moving over the same 2021 Superlynks, Zifi Records and Fullklipp Ent production. The project sits in that brisk dancehall pocket, built for quick vocal turns rather than long-winded arrangement changes, and the versions keep the focus on the rhythm’s clipped pulse and heavy low end. Leadpipe’s performance gives it some extra lift, while “Wifey Material” leans a little smoother against the tougher voices around it. At just under eight minutes in total, it’s a lean riddim EP with a fast, compact swing and a bassline that stays locked under the percussion.
