Honey Comb keeps the groove tight and sunlit, with a breezy soca pulse that feels made for quick wining and roadside fetes. Hitsquad Music keeps it to four tunes and doesn’t waste a bar: Dreamchaser and Mr. Murf open with “Feeling Ah Vibe, ” while Young G’s “Liking It, ” Vinega’s “Still Living, ” and R. Shine’s “Slow Chippin” each ride the rhythm from a different angle. The mix leans light on its feet but still has enough low-end push to keep the dance moving, which made sense in 2019 when soca production was leaning harder into compact, DJ-friendly riddim packs.
