The High Tide Riddim mix made its debut in 2021, coming straight out of Jamaica’s vibrant dancehall scene. As soon as it was released, DJs across the island and beyond picked it up, making it a favorite in clubs and on radio. The project brought together a strong lineup of artists. Black Loyalty delivered the heartfelt track “Give My Heart, ” adding smooth vocals and catchy lyrics. Jah Defender, well known for his uplifting reggae style, contributed “Hail H. I. M. ” He has built a solid reputation in the reggae world, especially after his album “Rastaman Rise” gained attention in the Caribbean and Europe. Addis Pablo, son of the legendary Augustus Pablo, added his signature melodica sound to “Melodic Tide. ” Addis Pablo has continued his father’s legacy, performing globally and working with respected reggae acts. Jahriffe’s “It’s Alright” brought conscious lyrics and a positive message, while Roots Alley Collective closed the set with “High Tide Dub, ” giving listeners a deep, instrumental experience. Behind the scenes, the sound engineer played a key role in shaping the mix, making sure every track was crisp and balanced. ROOTS ALLEY RECORDS produced the project. The label, known for its dedication to authentic reggae and dancehall, has worked with both emerging and established artists, helping to keep the genre’s roots alive while pushing new sounds.
