Compatible Riddim (2021) – Little Thunder Music

Little Thunder Music had this one out in September 2021, and Compatible Riddim sits neatly in that mid-year dancehall run with just five tracks and a tight cast led by Teejay, whose “Comfortable” also turns up in a radio edit. The riddim leans on a lean, forward-driving groove rather than anything overly busy, so the songs can breathe without losing momentum; that suits Falco DiGeneral’s “Bred” and Kayla Allen’s “Forever, ” both of which ride the pattern with a cool, clipped confidence.
