Hard Drive Riddim Part 2 - Golden Cartel Entertainment

Hard Drive Riddim Part 2 lands in that early-2000s dancehall pocket where sharp-edged singjay cuts, sly party talk, and heavyweight clash energy all move over the same instrumental. The riddim was created in 2002 by Christopher Clarke and Gregory Harriot, and it later appeared in the Greensleeves Rhythm Album series as Hard Drive, Part 1 and Part 2. Golden Cartel Entertainment’s presentation sits on top of that foundation, framing the juggling as a full-era snapshot rather than a single one-off tune. The rhythm itself is taut and busy, with the kind of digital bounce that keeps the dancers moving while leaving room for direct, punchline-heavy delivery.

Bounty Killer’s How Dem A Live So and Beenie Man’s Greatest Of All Time are the cuts that immediately tell you why this riddim mattered. Both artists were already defining the sound of the era, and both bring the kind of commanding, street-level presence that makes a juggling feel bigger than the sum of its parts. Tanya Stephens turns up twice, first on 3. Too Strange and again on Buss Back Skettel, giving the set a sharper conversational edge and a female voice that cuts clean through the rougher patter. Sean Paul and Dutty Cup Crew’s Dutty Cup keeps the momentum in the club lane, while Anthony B’s Hard Drive and Lexxus’s Hot Like Fire (Part 2) help round out the set with energetic, fast-moving talk.

What makes the release work is the range inside a single framework: veteran names, rugged deejay work, and enough hook pressure to keep the riddim from feeling repetitive. It’s a tidy reminder of how strong a good juggling could sound when the production and the artists were both fully locked in.
