Guilty Pleasures Riddim (2016) – Dondadda Production

In 2016, when dancehall was leaning hard into party-ready singles and hooky, dance-centric riddims, Dondadda Production came through with Guilty Pleasures Riddim, a lean eight-track set that keeps the energy locked on the dance floor. Dondappa’s “Born As A Winner” gives the riddim an early punch, while Jenny Fyajah’s “Wine Pon Me” and Fire Flames’ “Wine and Turn Up” lean into the bashment side of the project, riding a quick, playful pulse with plenty of room for the vocals to jab through the mix. Zabrick’s “Wine For Di Money” and Pablo Bently’s “Nah Beg Dem” add a rougher edge, and the instrumental closes things out under the Dondaddaproduction name. The lineup runs through eight cuts in all, with nine unique artists credited across the release.
