Green Faces Riddim rolls with that early-2010s dancehall polish: bright enough to catch the ear, but still carrying a hard-edged swing that lets the voices cut through cleanly. Produced by King Yard Music and Ranch Entertainment in 2011, it arrived with a neat crossover feel, pairing Alaine and Shaggy on “Good Good” alongside cuts from Cecile, Chris Martin, Lady Saw and Lukie D. The Shaggy connection gives the project extra pull, especially with “Gweh” and the Alaine duet sitting near the front of the sequence. What really gives the set shape, though, is how the tracklist moves from the glossy hooks into tougher talk and party tunes, so the riddim feels arranged with a DJ’s ear rather than just stacked for volume.
