Good Times comes across as a deeper roots-leaning Naciamaj set rather than a flashy dancehall exercise, with the kind of meditative, chant-heavy lineup that lets the songs do the lifting. Capleton’s “Stepping, ” Bushman’s “Food Of Salvation, ” and Jah Mason’s “Do It” sit right in the pocket, while Chrisinti, Chuck Fender, and Daville help widen the mood without breaking the spiritual thread; the riddim itself feels sturdy and low-slung, built for militant voices and slow-burn singjay cuts. Riddim-ID also lists a 2003 “Riddim Driven: Good Times” produced by Mr. Doo for the Supadoo label, so this 2004 Naciamaj version sits in a busy little corner of the same riddim name.
