Get It Riddim (2004) – Big Yard Music

Anchored in Big Yard Music’s early-2000s run, Get It Riddim catches that glossy, radio-ready dancehall sound the label was pushing around the same period as its better-known party records. The cut that jumps out is “We Like To Party” from Maxi Priest, Shaggy, Tok and Ice, which gives the riddim a slick crossover sheen, while Rayvon’s “No Argument” keeps it in proper dancehall territory with a lighter, more playful touch. With only three tracks, including the version, it feels lean rather than crowded, and that suits Big Yard’s catalogue at the time: clean production, hooky vocals, and a polished bounce aimed at both yard and overseas ears.
