Coming out of the 2004 dancehall run, Pizzi Riddim is a compact six-track set with a distinctly French-Caribbean edge, centered on Gickma and L’anmou Jah alongside Pnp’s “La Rie Ya Pa Ka Jou? ” The sequence keeps one foot in vocal cuts and one in riddim business: two Gickma collaborations open the circle, L’anmou Jah takes three turns, and the version closes it out cleanly. “Smoke Sinsimillia” and “Systemes” give the project its sharpest hooks, while the bare “Version” track leaves the rhythm exposed. Production is credited to Various Artists, which fits the slightly rough, local-party feel of the release. Six tracks, five unique artists, all from 2004.
