    ULTIMATE FIGHT RIDDIM 2004

    This one hits like a rough-edged, militant dancehall cut, all pressure and bravado, with French-language voicings pushing the war talk to the front. Daddy Mory, Lord Kossity, General Sensi and Jamal are the names that jump out, and “Shot A Dem” and “Toppa Shotta” keep the tune-up energy high while “Musical Warriors” widens the frame a bit. Issat Mabrack’s Kza production keeps it in that early-2000s European dancehall pocket where big sound-system drums and chant-ready hooks mattered more than polish. Compared with the more hit-chasing riddims around it in 2004, Ultimate Fight feels a touch grittier and more street-facing, leaning into battle language without losing the bounce. It sits neatly in that stretch of French-Caribbean dancehall productions that helped define the era’s harder club sound.
