Gambino Riddim – Ratis Productions

Gambino Riddim moves with a dark, clipped dancehall pulse, the kind of pattern that leaves plenty of room for bassline pressure and terse vocal jabs. Ratis Productions keeps the cast tight with five cuts and six artists, and the lineup leans more street than crossover: Ce’ross opens with the gun talk of “Gun, ” A. J comes in lighter on “Fade Away, ” and Diddy Eminence turns up the chest-thumping on “Brod. ” Gvng’s title track gives the riddim its center of gravity, but the sharpest finish comes from Troy Vokal and Mordeki on “Braff Life, ” where the delivery feels the most locked in and the hook lands with a little extra sting.
