Straight out of the 2012 dancehall run, Fyah Starta Riddim comes from New Sound Records and keeps the set lean with just four vocal cuts and a closing version. Capleton’s “Summa Love” is the heavyweight name here, while Tmar’s “Gal Dem Love Mi” ties into the producer’s own catalog and gives the riddim a more personal stamp. Qurious’ “Wine Like You Sexing Me” and Timmi Burrell’s “Hands In The Air” fill out the lineup over a spare, sound-system-minded groove that leaves plenty of room for the vocals. The release lists five tracks in all, with the instrumental version closing it out.
