Chain Down Riddim – Boomerang

Boomerang’s Chain Down Riddim keeps things tight with just four soca cuts, and that economy gives the project a sharper edge than a lot of the crowded carnival packages from 2019. Mello’s “Bosses” opens with the kind of forceful hook that sticks, while Jello and Bess turn “Big Snake” into the obvious ear-catcher here, all swagger and movement. Fresh’s “Jab Wuking” leans into the road with a harder, more percussive feel, and Selector Jamie with Skool Boi close out “Go Down” on a rougher, chant-ready note. At 11 minutes flat, it feels more like a focused snapshot from Boomerang than a full-blown statement, and that brevity suits a label/producer catalogue that seems comfortable keeping its soca releases lean and direct.
